The Friends of the Library of Bonita Springs, Florida is a volunteer non-profit group committed to supporting the Bonita Springs Library. The Friends are guided by a Board of Directors that acts as a liaison between the Friends and the library administration. We aim to:
Support the library staff.
Conduct fund-raising events that complement the library’s mission, and through them provide funding for special library projects that might otherwise not be met by the library’s operating budget.
Serve as advocates for local, state, and national library issues; represent the library’s programs to legislators.
Develop a relationship with the Lee County Library System Administration in order to discuss and potentially impact decisions that affect the Bonita Springs Library.
Promote awareness about the needs of the Bonita Springs Library.
Provide a calendar of events such as informational lectures, author luncheons, and book sales.
Connect Friends to one another.
Share a love of books, reading and education.
